TOILET TRAINING: WHAT DO PARENTS KNOW, ANYWAY?

A representative sample of popular child-rearing literature is surveyed. An overview of the information available in these sources on the subject of toilet training is presented to help the clinician be aware of the type of data available to parents. This will hopefully be of some use in aiding the clinician understand parental attitudes and ideas on the subject.
