A Perspective on Behavioral Medicine and Pediatric Psychology

During the past 200 years and continuing over the last decade, huge strides have been made toward improvement in the education, welfare, and health of children. These strides include increased knowledge about the behavior and needs of children in hospitals. However, much remains to be done, and pediatric psychology and behavioral medicine have roles to play in future advances in these fields.
