The Care of Children in Hospitals: An Overview

The past decade has brought a more integrated approach to dealing with children in hospitals including child life activities with opportunities for play, the preparation of children prior to events and the involvement of parents in their children's care. Research on hospitalization and children has grown, the available literature increasing from 2 to 500 in the last 40 years.
