Prematurity: Effects on Parent-Infant Interaction
Brandeis University
This paper briefly traces the history of parent-infant interaction research. It then examines research on sequelae of prematurity and reviews recent studies of parent-infant interaction which compared preterm and full-term dyads. Finally, it integrates the findings of these studies and considers their practical implications.
