Interruption of Self-Excoriation in a Pediatric Burn Victim

A response-interruption device was used with a young pediatric burn victim whose self-excoriation of grafted skin exacerbated her injuries. It was highly effective in terminating further self-inflicted tissue damage, promoting healing, and facilitating the child's discharge to her family.
