 Special Issue: Training in...

The Journal of Pediatric Psychology is planning to publish a special series of papers dedicated to the training of pediatric psychologists. JPP is the scientific publication of the Society of Pediatric Psychology and publishes multidisciplinary articles related to theory, research, and professional practice in pediatric health care. In recent years, there have been significant changes in the delivery of health care in the United States and abroad and as a result the training of pediatric psychologists also will likely change both at the graduate and post-doctoral level.

JPP encourages submissions of papers that focus on broad issues related to training in the field of pediatric psychology. Appropriate papers might include models of training, pre- and post-doctoral training in pediatric psychology, mentorship, research training in pediatric psychology, the training of pediatric psychologists to work with minority populations, training of pediatric psychologists in health promotion, board certification and proficiency in pediatric psychology, training of pediatric providers in behavioral and psychosocial issues, among others. For this special series, JPP would welcome both empirical and review papers that are conceptually driven.

The deadline for receipt of manuscripts is April 1, 2001. Consultation is available if you have questions or potential topics. Some manuscripts for this volume will be invited, but we are encouraging submissions of original work. Manuscripts should be written in APA format, following guidelines by the Journal of Pediatric Psychology, and submitted in quadruplicate with all author identification removed. Please include one face sheet with all authors' names and affiliations and the letter requesting consideration to:
